Stress & Anxiety

What we call stress is hyperarousal of the nervous system, which is a healthy and natural short-term response, where all the body's energy resources are directed to create short term energy, ready to take action.

 

However, many of us aren't taught how to effectively discharge this stress energy and return to balance after it is triggered. Over time we become 'stuck' in survival mode where the stress hormones adrenaline & cortisol, block the body's ability to digest, make white blood cells and repair muscle and inflammation.

The result can be muscular pain, digestive issues, headaches, low energy, poor mental health, poor sleep, feelings of anxiety, procrastination or any number of symptoms.

The good news is that it is all solveable with patience, consistency and the right guidance.

 

Our treatments help to increase parasympathetic drive, which down-regulates your nervous system so your body can begin to heal. Treatments have a cumulative effect where each session builds on the previous one and eventually your nervous system will re-learn how to relax and how to stay balanced. You will also receive ongoing guidance and education on practices you can engage in to help yourself along the way.
